About Us

RKETEK is owned by its founder, Architect Martin Sell, AIA, NCARB.

Marty holds a Bachelor of Science degree from UW Milwaukee and a Masters of Architecture degree from the same school. Upon graduation – at the age of 22 – Marty became one of the youngest Architects ever registered in the country. UW Milwaukee has acknowledged Marty’s continued accomplishment in presenting an Alumnus of the Year award.

Marty holds a National Council of Architectural Registration Board certification and has held registration as an Architect in twelve states. He is also a registered Interior Designer.

Prior to forming RKETEK in 2001, he built several businesses specializing in combined design and construction services. He furthered his development and business skills by achieving his Masters of Business Administration degree from the School of Business at the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2000.

He has given back to his profession by serving on the Board of Directors – and as President – of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in Wisconsin. He also served AIA nationally on the Design-Build and Project Delivery Knowledge Communities, serving as Chair of the national AIA committee. He presents frequently on design, development and construction management topics to national and international conventions and symposiums in the areas of development, architecture and construction.

He strengthens the future of the design and construction profession as an Adjunct Professor at the Milwaukee School of Engineering where he teaches Architectural History, Construction Cost Estimating, and Real Estate Development. He has also served his church and his local community by serving on numerous Boards of Directors and Committees.

Marty attributes his professional success to the people and the integrated team of professionals surrounding him. Throughout Marty's career, this team has consisted of diverse and talented professionals.

The current RKETEK team includes professionals trained in architecture, engineering, landscape architecture, planning, sustainable design, 3D computer modeling, interior design, real estate development, cost estimating, financial planning, and construction management services.
